ABOUT ME

I've always loved anything creative and consider myself a "maker." I have over 15 years experience working in interior design and have a strong passion for the party planning process. I'm definitely not a stranger to Etsy, where I've had my online shop since 2015. There, I've been able to sell some of my custom party decor, as well as, customized themed letters for birthdays or room decor.

For my daughter's 8th birthday, we viewed several locations to have her party, but none of them seemed to work. I started researching some fun ideas to do at home and came across teepee slumber parties. I immediately got to work on setting one up for my daughter and her friends. After experiencing first hand the joy that teepee slumber parties could bring to kids, I decided to work on bringing this concept to my community.

Sugar Lagoon Parties is a family affair. My husband is the master craftsman behind the teepees, while I carefully source all of the items to make each party unique, with an amazing experience. My kids also help where they're needed - loading and unloading the teepees and accessories, spreading the word about Mom's business among their friends, or just keeping me up to date on kids' trends.

I have a knack for color, texture, and pattern and a goal to bring magical party experiences to children and young adults. I love meeting new people and sharing in the excitement that comes with making wishes come true. I hope we can help make your next slumber party, one to remember!
